I posted on my previous blog about how in love I was with my Jade Yoga mat (the olive colored one).
Lately though I've been worried because wear has really been starting to show on it. I'd had the mat for a little less than a year when it had just begun to flake. That was a month ago and I'm currently using, shall we say, side B. I just noticed that wear has started to show on this side too. I guess eco mats, while having great grip, just can't take the punishment of a regular Ashtanga Yoga practice.
Don't get me wrong, I still love this mat. It's the best in it's price range, which is slightly higher-end. If you don't do a full practice practically everyday, then this yoga mat should be enough. If do practice that much and are willing to spend more (or just not willing to replace your mat every few months, like moi), then I guess we're in the same boat and have to go for a Manduka.
Good thing I ordered mine last week. It won't get here until the end of July though, so I won't see it until after my Yoga Teacher training. I hope this Jade mat holds up throughout the course... I'll let you know when I get the Manduka. ;-)
