(Koh Samui Airport baggage claim belt)
The Koh Samui airport is beautiful! I wasn't able to get pictures of the outside, but imagine a series of wooden huts against coconut trees and clear blue skies. You can smell the sand and the sea. When you disembark the plane, there is a little train of carts - like the kind you ride on a tour of Universal Studios - which takes you to the quaint baggage claim hut (see image above). It's all well-maintained and very nice, simple, well done and islandy.
Oh, and you HAVE to check out the bathroom:
It was all white, wood and mirrors. Cold airconditioning and REALLY clean!
Don't forget to go to the Art Cafe. Coffee... cheesecake and good food... saturdays are usually free so go out and eat some non-sattvic food, hehehe.
ReplyDeleteJon, is that you encouraging me to eat non-sattvic food? hahaha Thanks for the tip, I'll look for that cafe. I've been pretty good about eating so far, I've actually been eating vegan for the past few days. Today though, I just had to have some of the scrambled eggs and a slice of cheese. :)
ReplyDeleteBy the way, the assisting teachers are Cecille and Claudia. See you!
